Birthday retrospect - The Transformation Arc of turning 40

Happy 40 th Birthday to me!

This year we are going a little Meta and Woo. Did you know that in Various scripts and in astrology the turning of 40 has a lot of significance? Some spiritual teachers call it the ‘Portal’, I want to call it the Transformation arc. Why do I call it a transformation arc rather than an ‘upgrade’ or ‘upleveling’ ? It is not about one half of your life being better than the other half, it is about The journey that the protagonist takes in his lifetime. So imagine any Movie, book or story telling – we begin with the protagonist being a workaholic and by the end he is carefree and chooses living over work (Hrithik in Zindagi na milegi dobara). If the character starts of as a carefree person, then by the end of the story he is a man driven by his mission and purpose ( Hrithik in Lakshya) . That is what is a transformation arc. Every good story has a character arc- think Sholay, Titanic, harry Potter, lord of the rings. The Hero’s or Heroine’s journey.

Infact there is a verse in the Quran 46:15 that specifically mentions the age forty! It is believed that it was at the age of forty that prophet Muhammad received his first revelation ( after many years of deep reflection). The verse talks about being grateful, righteous and repentant at all ages, but especially as one reaches ‘forty’.

So how do you tap into the magic of turning forty? How do you enter the portal? How do we find this transformational story arc? And how valuable would it be for you, if you already know what is going to be the story arc of your life? The simplest hack is finding your South Node and your North Node on your astrology chart. The South node is all of your life before 40 or approximately around that time, and the North node is all of your life after 40 or approximately around those years.

Sometimes life feels random. It feels pointless. And you are trying to figure out, why did this happen to me- and at these moments to think “ aah this is my story arc.” Knowing your south node and north node is like knowing the beginning and ending of a story. Now, that is not to say that life is not going to take you on the most epic journey of your life ! but it helps. It is like Frodo gets ring, Frodo takes ring back to Mount doom. But the people he meets along the way, the experiences he has shape him. Some will be like Souron in our life, some like Gollum and others like Sam – they all have an important part to play in our Epic tale, but the over arching theme across the 3 movies is the same – the transformational arc of Frodo. So, for example, I am a South node Scorpio and a North Node Taurus. So that means in the first half of my life I have the natural abilities and characteristics of a Scorpio, and my life’s journey is to travel to the astrological opposite pole that is Taurus.

The South Node in Scorpio to North Node in Taurus journey represents a deep transformation from intensity and emotional turmoil towards stability, security, and groundedness. Here's a breakdown of the character arc from South Node in Scorpio to North Node in Taurus in terms of astrology characteristics:

Beginning of the Arc (South Node in Scorpio):

- Emotional Depth & Intensity: Scorpio is deeply emotional, intense, and prone to experiencing extremes. The person may have a tendency to dwell in deep emotional waters, often feeling a pull towards crisis, transformation, and regeneration.face loss, emotional upheaval, or crises, leading to a desire for emotional self-protection or fear of betrayal and abandonment.

The Turning Point (Transition Phase):

- Learning to Let Go of Control: As the character progresses towards the North Node in Taurus, they start to release the need to control everything. They begin to understand that not everything can (or should) be manipulated, and trust in the natural unfolding of life becomes important.

End of the Arc (North Node in Taurus):

- Building & Cultivating: Taurus is an earth sign that enjoys building and cultivating—whether it’s a home, career, or relationships. The person learns the value of persistence and patience, creating a life based on solid foundations.

Key Themes of the Character Arc of my life would be:

1. From Crisis to Calm

2. From Manipulation to Trust

3. From Emotional Depth to Physical Grounding

4. From Transformation to Preservation

And if you are interested – let me show you how to find your own transformation character arc.

What is Fascinating is – that this entire transformation arc was created by Chat GPT for me. A personalised life journey. Within a click of a button, in under 30 seconds. Infact I have just shared the abridged version, it is even more detailed.

I hope your mind is blown by the Blending of Avante Garde Knowledge of Astrology, Spirituality and the Tech Savviness of artificial intelligence. I was blown away too. Welcome to Kuheli 2.0

Now, here is how you get to create it for yourself. I want to be able to gift this sense of empowerment, wonder and Magical possibility to all of you on my birthday.

Step 1. Go to astro-charts.com/tools/new/birth-chart . or any website that finds your astrology chart for free.

Fill in your birth time and date. Press play. You will get your north node and south node . the north node is the Upright Horse shoe (looks like n)and south node is a downward horse shoe (looks like a u)

.

Step 2: Now that you know your South node which is related to your natural tendency and is based on so many things like your past life Karmas and Samskaras. And the North Node is basically the reason for your life, the lesson you were sent on Earth to learn, your Dharma atleast for this lifetime.

Now you go to Chatgpt and type this prompt – Create a character arc based on astrological characteristics for a south node ( enter your south node) to a north node ( enter your north node) .

.

And see the magic of AI unfold. That’s it.

Now, I am sure a lot of you are turning your noses up at – Ye kya timepass hai ! You are a doctor, how can you believe in this kind of weird non-science. But, if I tell you, you could find your kids character arc, and it could possibly help you be a better parent, or you could find you parents arc and understand them better, or your partners. Now, all of a sudden you are invested. You want the best for your child, you definitely want to be able to give them that slight advantage in life – and so you would do it, out of curiosity. My son is a South node Aries to a north node Libra by the way, and it is mind blowing how accurate it is.

So ya, this is me as I enter my 40’s a crazy blend of Science and Spirituality, powered by AI.  This past year has been a brilliant year of creating legacy for myself- I wrote my spiritual self help book Shiva Shakti which is a part of my soul, the most precious piece of heart ( available on Amazon), I won a Beauty Pageant Mrs Medico Diva, and over the past weekend I held my second women’s only retreat in Goa. I loved writing my emails for my email list, I loved teaching and coaching inside Expansion Experience and my 1:1 coaching, and yes I continue being a surgeon bringing transformational squint cor4rection to my patients.whether through my squint surgeries, or my life coaching the theme in both is – how can I bring transformation to people. My travel and food blogger avatar has started to wane, and my Life coaching avatar is waxing. I do believe that is part of the transformation arc.

If this post makes you feel like – damn I want to be able to transform my life with these crazy amazing blend of science meets spirituality, my Coaching program Expansion Experience could be the answer. It is the most brilliant course curriculum which teaches quantum physics with Feminine embodiment practices, neurosomatics, mindset work, karmic healing, and so much more.

Other than that- I have not even scratched the surface of the deep excavation work that I am doing as I traverse through my transformation Arc. This year is going to be about shifting gears, sufficiency and a recalibration as I enter a new decade in my life. I am excited to take you on this journey with me.

Until next year – Happy 40 th to me.

Sharing my gifts , my life : Birthday retrospect 2021

Happy 37 Birthday to me ! And for my readers of my annual birthday retrospect, this will be my 13 th year of writing a birthday blog. Wow, what a commitment. So, what was the one amazing thing I did this year ? I decided, just one fine day – to share . I started by sharing my food. It was the first time that we were not going home for Durga Pujo, we were in 2020 and the world was in Lockdown, I missed Pujo bhog, and I missedthe general excitement and enthusiasm around Durga pujo. I wanted to call a few friends over and serve them a typical Bengali meal, but we could not call people home- we were deep in N95 masks , and social distancing was in place. I decided to pack little meal boxes for my friends, and then decided I wanted to share the food with the everyone, and so decided to do a Bengali Pujo POP-UP . I ordered Gobindobhog rice, and kasundi and we made an elaborate menu with Rosogulla , deemer devil, and a non veg menu and a typical pujo bhog menu with khichuri, labda ,
